Thermal Imaging

Vision Communications & Electrical can perform routine scanning of electrical equipment as part of preventative maintenance to help prevent those inconvenient breakdown and failures, using a special thermal imaging camera. This enables us to measure the temperature of any object we are looking at and detects any “hot spots” which may require attention as they could indicate a potential fire risk.

We can scan the following equipment:

• Electrical switchboards
• Motors including Bearings and Gearboxes
• Overhead Lines
• Low Voltage Equipment
• Transformers
• Power Factor Correction Units

Once scanning is complete, you will be sent a report which includes photos and details of areas/equipment that need to be addressed and how urgently action is required to prevent a failure.
